Steven Wood, CFA, who has focused on distressed, deep value and special situations investment strategies, founded GreenWood Investors based on core beliefs that great investments must look beyond monthly returns, and that investors should have full transparency and liquidity of their holdings. Wood deepened his knowledge of distressed, deep value, and special situations strategies as the research analyst at Carr Securities from 2009-2013. He began his career in special situations at Kellogg Capital Group, and later worked for Aslan Capital. Walter Carucci at Carr provided the inspiration for founding GreenWood Investors. In 2012, Mr. Wood was a finalist (with best performance) for the best idea at the Value Investment Conference. He was also one of four finalists at the prestigious Sohn Conference in 2016. He has also won six awards from Sum Zero for best investment ideas, most recently in 2017 for the category “Special Situations” Mr. Wood was graduated from Tulane University.
